Submitted by Jon Cole Campaign
Famed Republican District Attorney John Bradley endorsed Jon Cole for State Representative in House District 67.
Upon endorsing, Bradley released the following statement: “Jon and I have worked to prevent the release of dangerous criminals back onto our streets. We have fought to do what’s right for the safety of Texas families. There are, undoubtedly, countless families that have been saved from victimization as a result of Jon’s efforts and skills in fighting detrimental legislation in Austin. Jon possesses the knowledge, experience, determination, and skill to protect Texans families and the backbone to stand for what’s right. I proudly support his candidacy to be the next State Representative from Collin County.”
A prosecutor since 1987 and current elected District Attorney in Williamson County, Texas, Bradley has been recognized by his peers as the Prosecutor of the Year. Governor Perry has also appointed Bradley to serve as the chair of two statewide agencies: the Texas Forensic Science Commission and the advisory committee for the Texas Correctional Office for Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments. Mr. Bradley also has worked for the Texas Legislature, helping to rewrite the Penal Code as a member of the staff for the Punishment Standards Commission, and subsequently served as general counsel for the Senate Criminal Justice Committee. He also served on Governor George W. Bush’s Committee to Rewrite the Code of Criminal Procedure and remains active in the legislative process. Both the Texas District and County Attorneys Association and National College of District Attorneys have publicly recognized him for excellence in service through legal education. TDCAA named him 2009 Prosecutor of the Year. Mr. Bradley has appeared on Investigation Discovery, Court TV, the Jim Lehrer News Hour, and National Public Radio and is a frequent contributor to TV news shows, legal magazines and newspapers. Jon Cole, a conservative businessman, is the most experienced, qualified, and battle-tested candidate in the race.
