Texas Tribune Hot Seat
I am excited to announce that I will be taking part in the “Hot Seat” interview series with the Texas Tribune, a non-partisan, non-profit news source which extensively covers Texas politics. Evan Smith, CEO of the Texas Tribune, will be interviewing Senator Ken Paxton and me on Wednesday, September 11th, 2013 at the University of Texas at Dallas – right here in District 67 – where we will discuss the highlights of the 83rd Legislative Session. The interview will take place from 11:30am-1:00pmin the Faculty Dining Room of the Dining Hall in the Student Union, where lunch will be provided, and the address is 800 W. Although the final called session of the 83rd Legislature is complete, our offices are still fully functioning, and my staff and I stand ready to serve you in any way possible. Common forms of assistance are:
1. Resolving issues with various state agencies;
2. Providing information regarding new state laws and helping you understand the legislative process;
3. Booking Capitol tours;
4. State of Texas flag requests;
5. Commendation letters for Eagle Scout rankings.
