On Saturday, May 11, McKinney voters will choose City Council representatives for Mayor, District 1, District 3 and one At Large position to hold office for a period of four years. On May 11, McKinney voters will choose City Council representatives for Mayor, District 1, District 3 and one Councilmember at-large position to hold office for a period of four years.
On Election Day, voters must vote in the designated precinct. Some voter precincts and locations have changed since the last election, and voters can find their designated precinct number on the voter registration card.
District 1 and 3 representatives will be chosen by the voters in their respective districts. District 1 City Council member Don Day and District 3 City Council member Travis Ussery are running for re-election unopposed.
All McKinney voters may vote for the Mayor and for the Councilmemeber At-Large representative. McKinney Mayor Brian Loughmiller and Derrick Johnson are on the ballot for the mayoral seat. Randall (Randy) P. Pogue, J. Martin Sanchez and Jeremiah J. Hammer are on the ballot for the At-Large position, which will be vacated by David Brooks who chose not to seek re-election.

Election Night on the Square will be held on Saturday, May 11 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Historic Downtown McKinney. Collin County Judge Paul Raleeh will make announcements and post results throughout the evening. This family-friendly event also features food, drinks and kids’ activities, including face painting. Tables and chairs will be set up in the area for extra dining availability.
