Some of it is just like new. Some of it is “gently used”. Very little would be considered historic but there’s some awfully good “stuff” to be had… at the Old Fashioned Rummage Sale benefiting the Collin County Historical Society.
In an ongoing effort to increase financial support, a rummage sale will take place on Friday July 15 and Saturday July 16, 2011 from 8 AM until 2 PM on the premises of the Collin County Historical Society/North Texas History Center, 300 E. Virginia St., McKinney, TX 75069. (Corner of Chestnut and E. Virginia.)
Here is a sampling of some of the great stuff ready to find a new home….
Electronics – Stereos, CD Players, Portables
Civil War souvenirs (no, not the real thing silly!)
Queen bed headboard
All Purpose Plastic Sheeting
Magazines & Books
Tail light for a Nissan Versa hatchback
… and more
Seriously, there are some really good items but they will not be there long. The sale starts at 8 AM Friday morning so get there early!
There’s still time to donate….
Donations may be dropped off at the North Texas History Center on Tuesday 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Donations are tax deductable and receipts will be provided. (Donors however should consult their tax advisors regarding the deductions.)
