Intersect Church, a nondenominational church serving Collin County, announced Tuesday that it is offering local families the chance to have a “Parents Night Out” on August 27 from 6:00-10:00 PM. The church will watch the first 30 children (infants through fifth grade students) whose parents register at IntersectChurch.org. The Parents Night Out event will be held at Kids R Kids, located at 9070 Westridge Blvd in McKinney Texas.
Intersect Church members will provide a safe and fun experience for the children while the parents have time to enjoy an evening just to themselves. Pastor Brian Bellflower emphasizes the importance of healthy families, and he wants local parents to take advantage of the opportunity to relax. Bellflower emphasizes that all volunteers will have background checks and training to insure safety for all children and families involved.
This is the second Parents Night Out event which Intersect Church will host. Bellflower said, “When we
offered the first event, we were shocked to find that within the first 48 hours all of the available spots
were filled. This event was such a success that we wanted to offer another Parents Night Out as a gift to
families at the end of the first week of school.”
The Parents Night Out is open to any parents in the Collin County area, and those who have never been to Intersect Church are welcome to register, according to Bellflower. Interested parents are invited to register before August 25 at 5:00 PM at the Church’s website at http://www.intersectchurch.org; and the evening’s supervision is at no cost to parents who register.
