As I watch my favorite Texas country singer/songwriter Zane Williams pull his guitar from its well-traveled case, I consider all the growth that has happened in every aspect of this young man’s life. Since the last time he and I settled in for a nice conversation a couple of years ago, his family has grown. Daughter Gentry made her debut five months ago, making Zane and wife Jodi’s young son Buck a big brother. His award-winning songwriting career and local singing gigs have expanded to include touring all over the Lone Star state and beyond. And as a member of the cast of the popular television docu-drama Troubadour, TX, now in its second season, every step of Williams’ musical journey to success is recorded for the rest of us to follow and enjoy.
With a very special milestone and concert date right around the corner, I invited Williams to join me In The Studio to tell us more. Williams’ fourth studio album Overnight Success, is slated to drop early next month. We are all invited to join the celebration as Williams along with his full band, perform Saturday, May 25 at McKinney Performing Arts Center. Joining Williams will be guest musicians from the record along with special performances by Tom Faulkner and Kylie Rae Harris. A Q&A session with the artists and producer and stories behind the songs are also slated for this incredible night of music in McKinney’s downtown Courthouse Theater. Click here to grab your tickets, but first, enjoy this episode of In The Studio With Zane Williams.
Finally, according to Williams, you too can be an overnight sensation in the music business, and he’s willing to share his secret with you. Thank you Troubadour, TX for filming this following video of Williams outlining the steps involved.
