TSB recently sat down with Collin County Judge Keith Self to get to know more about the man who in the leader of the Collin County Commissioner’s Court.
Self was elected to his position in 2006 and took office in January 2007. Self describes his role in terms of “think of it as the Mayor of Collin County”, and presides over the Collin County Commissioner’s Court. A native Texan, he spent 25 years as a U.S. Army officer, and holds a degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, as well as a Masters Degree in International Relations from the University of Southern California.
A self proclaimed conservative, Judge Self says he is a proponent of “limited government” in the daily lives of citizens, asserting that citizens are better suited to make decisions for their own lives than the government.
