In the Studio: Intercultural Consultant Edward Retta Shares His Thoughts on the Latino Culture

By Angie Bado, TSB Publisher

A second generation American of Mexican decent, Dallas resident Edward Retta has become something of a reluctant spokesperson on behalf of the Mexican American community.

Retta, who often speaks to large corporations and community organizations, emphasizes bridging the gap between cultures through education. He addresses such topics as “The Hispanic population in the USA -Who are they? How do they think?” and “Why is the Hispanic Population Growing So Fast?” TSB

Recently, Retta at down with TSB publisher Angie Bado to discuss some of his thoughts on this segment of McKinney’s population, one that is predicted to become the majority within the next six years.

“There is this perception that there is this invasion of illegal immigrants and that they are going to take over the population is going to take over the country and ruin it,” Retta said. “That’s a myth.”
