The wreaths are in place, the stockings are hung and The 38th Annual Holiday Tour of Homes in Mckinney’s Historic District will take place on Saturday, December 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, December 4 from 12 to 4 p.m. and showcases six homes. A fundraiser for Chestnut Square, the tradition of showcasing homes in historic McKinney, decked out in holiday splendor, began in 1973.

New this year, the Dulaney House at Chestnut Square will feature a “Timeless Toys” exhibit on loan from Jeanette and Ivert Mayhugh’s A Touch of Class Antique Maill in Sherman, TX on the square. The exhibit is gauranteed to make you nostalgic for past Christmas’s.
Once again this year, Dutch oven cooking demonstratioons will be held in the Faires House kitchen. James West and his posse of boy scouts will be cooking up an old-fashioned Christmas dinner.
The Heritage Guild’s Crafter’s Guild has been busily crafting items for this year’s Holiday Bazaar at The Bevel Reception House , 405 S. Chestnut St. Come on out and finish off your Christmas shopping with beautiful handmade items.

After Nov. 23, tickets will also be available at Smitten, The Antique House and the Little Red Hen on the McKinney Square and at Market Street on McKinney’s west side. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 the day of the tour.
