1) Project Graduation 2012

On June 1, 2012 approximately 1400 young men and women will graduate from McKinney high schools.  For the 9th straight year McKinney’s Project Graduation is dedicated to providing a safe all-night event where these young people can celebrate their accomplishments.

Donations this year are far below normal and time short. If you haven’t done so, please mail your contribution in as soon as possible. Each dollar is precious and goes to benefit a graduating senior. Please mail your tax-deductible contribution to: McKinney’s Project Graduation, PO Box 1235, McKinney, TX 75070.

Adult volunteers willing to donate a few hours to help keep our graduates safe. This year we need at least 300 helpers.  Won’t YOU consider helping? There are three shirts to choose from: 9:30pm-2am; 2:00am- 6am; and the All Nighter.
The night goes by very quickly and you’ll get a chance to spend time with some of the most amazing young people while making a difference in your community.

2) Watch Graduation Live

3) Parent Feedback Survey
MISD is conducting a parent feedback survey during the month of May. The survey questions are intentionally broad in order to provide feedback on a variety of topics. Your experiences with the schools are invaluable pieces of information and we appreciate your feedback.

Take the survey in English or Spanish.

4) MISD Phone Number Are Changing
On June 4, 2012 all MISD phone numbers will be changing. As the district has grown over the years it has exhausted numbers in the 469-742-XXXX range.  With the exception of McKinney Boyd High School, the area code and the last four digits of the phone numbers throughout the district will not change, only the 742.  The new numbers will begin with 469-302-XXXX (existing last 4 digits). This change will enable MISD to have consistent phone numbers, and will afford the opportunity to add new extensions for years to come.   Read More.
