High School Hallways: MISD Night at FC Dallas, Painting Parking Spots at North, Boyd Gives Back and More

High School Hallways – Week of September 10th
High School Hallways is brief weekly digest of happenings in McKinney area high schools.

McKinney Independent School District (MISD)

1) MISD College Night
College Night will be held on Thursday, September 13, from 6-8 p.m. at McKinney North in the gyms and room G119. More than 100 colleges and universities will be present and it’s a great opportunity for students to visit the various schools and learn more about them.

2) MISD Night at FC Dallas
MISD Night at FC Dallas will be held on Saturday, September 15 at 7:30 p.m. MEF will receive proceeds from tickets purchased online through midnight Thursday, September 13th.

Student tickets are only $5, and adult admission is $15.

3) Becoming a Love and Logic Parent

4) Dr. Kennedy’s Video Blog

This weekly video blog provides Dr. Kennedy with an opportunity to discuss issues impacting education, celebrate student and staff accomplishments, and to share exciting plans for the future of McKinney ISD.

 

McKinney High School

5) Open House
McKinney High School (MHS) will host its open house on Monday, September 10, from 6-8 p.m. Parents, students, and partners of MHS are invited to meet teachers and administrators and learn about the many available clubs and organizations.

McKinney North

7) Curriculum Night
McKinney North will be hosting Curriculum Night on Monday, September 10, from 6-8 p.m. They will run a bell schedule and parents will go to class following their son/daughter’s schedule.  It will be a great evening for parents to meet the teachers and learn more about your child’s classes.

14) Parent Night
Parents are invited to meet with teachers at 7pm on the upper school campus. Schedules for parents to follow will be passed out at the front door.  Each class will be 10 minutes long with a 5-minute break between classes.
