Become a Ghost Hunter with this After Dark Special Learning Event at Chestnut Square Historic Village in McKinney.
The Civil War era gentleman standing at an upstairs window at 1864 Taylor Inn …day or night.
The gentleman in black in the dining room of the 1870 Dulaney Cottage … some see him, others just smell his cigar smoke.
The little girl on the attic stairs in the 1916 Dulaney House … most often seen by other children.
The mystery of the locking and unlocking front door of the 1854 Faires House … and the mumblings heard by volunteers while working in the house …
Participants on our Chestnut Square Ghostly Hauntings Tour and the Legends of McKinney Ghost Walk, along with volunteers and staff, recount these and many more paranormal experiences at Chestnut Square Historic Village. Help us discover more about these out of this world experiences and learn the basics of paranormal investigating with this eight-hour class on Saturday, April 6.
Ever wondered whether you have that special something needed to successfully investigate paranormal activity? This class will give you the opportunity to try it. Texpart Paranormal (http://www.texpartparanormal.com/) will lead the class and use the well-known “Fourth Hypothesis” method developed by Dr. Barth and Dr. Dansereaux from Texas Christian University (TCU).
Beginning at 8 p.m. this Saturday, you’ll spend the next eight hours with investigators from TexPart Paranormal as their paranormal investigation apprentice. The evening starts off with a session on how to properly conduct an investigation and how to set up the equipment that will be used. Basic paranormal equipment will be provided, but you may also bring your own equipment. You and the TexPart members will investigate four houses on the property – the Taylor Inn, the Dulaney Cottage, the Dulaney House and the Faires House. The evening will wrap up with an evidence review session.
What will you find??
