Free Event Highlights Collin College Pre-Admission Partnerships

Many students that attend Collin College intend to transfer to a four-year college or university.

Collin College has created a series of agreements with local and regional colleges and universities to streamline that process.

Destination College has scheduled a free workshop titled “Collin College Pre-Admission Partnerships: Transferring to Universities” for 6-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, at the Living Legends Conference Center located at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.

Collin College has 10 pre-admission partnerships, which allow students to finish their first two years of college at Collin College, while enjoying various perks and resources from a partner university. Students can enjoy guaranteed enrollment at the partner college or university, scholarship opportunities, advising to ensure every credit transfers, tickets to scholarly and athletic events, and more.

At this workshop, students and parents can meet with college and university representatives, gather information about each program and learn about the benefits and application process, financial aid and ways to prepare for college.

Pre-admission partners include: Austin College, Baylor University, Dallas Baptist University, Southern Methodist University, Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University-Commerce, Texas Tech University, Texas Woman’s University, The University of Texas at Dallas and the University of North Texas.

While the session is free, registration is required. Seating is limited. RSVP by Wednesday, Feb. 29.
