First Responders Save Man and His Dog from Flood Waters in McKinney, TX [Video]

McKinney First Responders were called to the scene of a potentially dangerous rushing water situation involving a man who was trapped in a tree and his dog.

On Friday, November 27 at around 3:00 a.m. the McKinney Fire Department was dispatched after a 911 call came in from a man trapped in a tree by rising flood waters near the intersection of Eldorado Parkway and College Street.

The man did not know his exact location during the time of the call.

Emergency personal were able to use pings from the cell phone to narrow down a search area.

McKinney Fire Department Spokeswoman, Stacie Durham, said that a low-angle rescue maneuver was used involving a ladder truck and ropes.

Both the male victim and the dog were safely rescued.
