Fantastic Friday: Six Varsity Soccer Games, Six Unbeaten Teams From McKinney

McKinney ISD soccer teams showed their stuff Friday night. Five of the six varsity soccer programs won convincingly — a combined 22-3 margin in district contests — while the other, McKinney High, ended regulation tied with Plano East.

Boys Games

McKinney Boyd 2, Plano High 0: The homestanding Broncos won in a shutout. Kyle Bennett and Hayden Uhl provided the goals. Shutout credit goes to Blaine Maher, Blake Bambico, Connor Kennedy, Trey Marchino, Cole Verhoev and Evan Davies.

McKinney North 5, Sherman 1: Scott Bell scored three goals as the Bulldogs rolled easily at home. Rocky Armijo and Sean Martineau also scored for North.

McKinney High 2, Plano East 2: The Lions tied at Kimbrough Stadium in Plano no Friday. Arshya Khalilian and Cristian Sanchez scored goals for MHS.

Girls Games

McKinney North 7, Sherman 0: The Lady Bulldogs dominated at Sherman Bearcat Stadium on Friday. Kennedy Kitchings scored two goals for North while Belicia Mendiola, Hadlie Tucker, Sandy Pachicano, Sabrina Martineau and Kenzie Anderson each scored one apiece.

McKinney Boyd 3, Plano High 1: The Lady Broncos won in a match played at Plano Clark High School. Sydnie Dolzine, Maggie Scales and Sarah Norman scored goals. Libby Murphy added two assists and Taylor Cobb one assist.

McKinney High 5, Plano East 1: The Lionettes breezed at home. Lauren Neely led with two goals. Sarah Morris, Jada Holmes and JoAnna Well added one apiece.
