With a smile and a “family” touch.
“We are trying to focus on treating our patients like we would our family,” she said. “If you treat them like family, you can do no wrong and they will come back to you. Once they come in through the doors, we really treat them like family. Nice, warm, friendly, we talk to our patients and take time with them, make sure they are comfortable.”
Having attended Baylor School of Dentistry and Southern Methodist University, Dr. Irene, as her patients call her, opened Family Dental of McKinney April 22 near the downtown square off of Tennessee and 380. Since then, she said McKinney has been “a really good place to be right now.” With lunches on the square and an appreciation of the “outdoors-y” feel, Dr. Irene is willing to commute from Downtown Dallas to work in this community.
“We are a family practice,” she said. “We see kids all the way up to adults. McKinney is a really great place to live. We love the area; the people here are just friendlier. It has got a small town feel, but it’s still close to the city. I love the square. It’s really developing there and so I feel like the city is really starting to take off.”
For her, this was always a family business. She said that, even from an early age, she was exposed to dentistry and actually loved having braces as a 13 year old.
“[A smile] gives a great first impression,” she said. “It shows what kind of personality you have. I think it is important.”
