Republican candidate for State Representative in District 67, Jeff Leach, today announced that he has earned the endorsement of Former Plano City Council Member and Collin County leader, Olin Jaye.
In his endorsement, Olin Jaye stated “While there are several fine candidates in the race for House District 67, Jeff Leach stands out as the best and most prepared candidate to represent the diverse interests of Collin County in the Texas Legislature. Jeff Leach has a grasp of the complex public policy issues and major challenges facing Plano, Allen and Richardson and is best equipped to help find the practical solutions we need to address those crucial issues. Jeff has a solid business background and is more than capable of understanding the need for the State of Texas to operate more like a business and to be more responsive to the people. I have observed first-hand Jeff’s ability to listen to the concerns of all sides and to work to find effective and efficient solutions. Most importantly, having grown up in our community, Jeff Leach has deep roots here. He knows the history, culture and values of Collin County and understands what is needed for its future growth and development. With great excitement, I am proud to endorse and support Jeff’s campaign for the Texas House and encourage my friends in Plano, Allen and Richardson to do the same.”
Olin Jaye has a long history of service and leadership in Collin County. In addition to being a successful commercial real estate broker, Jaye has held several prominent leadership positions in the community including: Plano City Council (Member), Collin County Association of Realtors (President and Director), Texas Association of Realtors (Regional Vice President & Director), Plano Chamber of Commerce (Vice-Chairman of Advocacy), Plano Rotary Club (Director), Collin County Planning Board (Chairman), City House (Director) and was named the 2006 Realtor of the Year for Collin County.
In response to Jaye’s endorsement, Jeff Leach said, “Olin Jaye is one of the most well-respected, well-liked citizens in Collin County. He has committed himself and worked tirelessly over the years to make Collin County a great place to live, work and raise a family. I am honored to have his counsel and his endorsement and engagement with our campaign for the Texas House.”
