A holiday spent in McKinney is special. Easter weekend is no exception. From corner to corner, McKinney will be filled with Easter cheer. We would like to thank our friends at the McKinney Convention And Visitors Bureau for making the hunt for fun a little bit easier.
Easter In McKinney (All Weekend)
Families can take part in a variety of activities to celebrate the Easter holiday. Among these are:
Easter ‘Egg-Stravaganza‘: This City Parks & Rec event takes place Saturday at Al Ruschhaupt Soccer Complex. Games and bounce houses start at 11 a.m. and egg hunt starts at 12:30.
Easter Bunny Photos: Bring your children for a professional Easter Bunny photo presented by Entertainment Photos at 540 Merchantile. 11 a.m.-3 p.m. $15 per print. 223 E. Louisiana.
Especially Needed Egg Hunt: A fun morning for special needs children and their families. Free but reservations are required. Also, volunteer opportunities are available. Click here for more information on this fun event.
VDay McKinney (Saturday)
Take part in Eve Ensler’s acclaimed program to end violence against women worldwide at McKinney Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $22 for the theater performance only, or $27 for the performance/reception. This fundraiser to support The Turning Point Rape Crisis Center includes:
a Women’s Fair from 4-9 p.m. in MPAC Gallery;
a Celebration Dance from 8:30-11 p.m. in MPAC Ruschhaupt Hall; and the headlining event of the evening, The Vagina Monologues performance on the MPAC Courtroom Theatre stage at 7 p.m.
