Entertainment Buzz: Alot of Girl Stuff and A Little Testosterone

Psst….Guys….check it out……want to score a few brownie points with the special lady in your life? Click here, to buy tickets for your girl and a friend to enjoy a full-on Girl’s Day Out in Downtown McKinney. This coming Saturday, January 21st, it’s all about the ladies.  Have her start the day with a Walk Down the Aisle of History, then, end it by laughing with Four of the Funniest Females we know.  Trust me, your girl will be thrilled, her friend will be impressed and you will enjoy a break in the honey-do action kicked back in the Man Cave.  Win, Win, my friend, I’m telling you.  Trust me on this one.

Have the girls start their day at the McKinney Performing Arts Center for “A Walk Down the Aisle of History Bridal Show.”  Whether she is a bride or not, she will love attending, as the show highlights local wedding professionals, and features plenty of eye candy, raffles, live demos, prizes and samples.  Brides will want to be sure and register for the  4-night Cancun honeymoon package.  The fun starts at 10am and goes through 3pm.

Spend the remainder of the day shopping the square, and perusing the art galleries. Then, cozy up at your favorite watering-hole or restaurant, and compare the spoils of the day.  Cap the evening off by returning to MPAC to see Four Funny Females. Touted as the “Best of the Weekend” by the Dallas Morning News/Guide Live, and a “Don’t Miss” event by Texas Monthly, Guys, by all means, now would be a great time to hook back up with your ladies and get in on the fun too.

The show features something for everyone, as Tech geek-Jodi Hadsell, Southern Belle-Sherry Belle, brash blonde-Laura Bartlett, and headliner- the hysterical Linda Stogner each bring their own special brand of humor to the stage.  Showtime is at 8pm and tickets can be purchased by clicking here.  Go ahead and click out if you must, because seating is limited, and you really don’t want the joke to be on you.

I caught up with Four Funny Females producer and comedienne, Laura Bartlett earlier last week, just in time to learn that our favorite funny ladies are being featured in none other than the New York Times.  Congrats, Ladies!   And, if that weren’t enough, a former MTV casting director is also interested in knowing more about the girls. Do I see a Four Funny Female’s reality show on the horizon?  How cool would that be?  I’d tune in.  These women know how to bring the funny.

Finally, how about a little Entertainment Buzz with a higher testosterone level?  If you haven’t been yet, the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is in full swing.  What began Jan. 13th goes through Feb. 4th. I’m pretty sure it’s in the Lone Star handbook, that one is not allowed to call himself a Texan until he’s attended at least one Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.  Click here for more information and to purchase tickets

Well, kids, that’s all the Entertainment Buzz I have for this week.  Be sure to check out the TownSquareBuzz.com Community Events calendar to see what else is happening around town.

Till next time, Michele
