Early Registration for Summer Camp at the Heard Ends April 16

Now is the time to encourage your child’s love of nature!  Register your child for the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary’s today to take advantage of the Early Bird special. Heard Summer Nature Camps will feature opportunities to delve into the wonders of nature on the 289-acre sanctuary, encounter animal ambassadors, and investigate nature-themed topics. 

Campers aged 5-12 years have two different themed nature camps, Camp Lemur and Camp Macaw, to pick from. Experience one or both camps for a variety of age-appropriate lessons and activities.

Ages 5 to 12 years | Time 9:30 a.m.—2:30 p.m. Tuition $210/members, $235/non-members

Ages 6-12 years | Time 9:30am—12:30pm | Tuition $160/members, $185 non-members
Dates June 25-29 or July 23-27
Young artists will follow in the footsteps of great artists such as Audubon and Monet with unique opportunities to draw directly from nature and live animals. No experience required. Art supplies included.

Ages 10-14 year olds | Time 9:30am – 2:30pm | Tuition $260 members, $285 non-members
Keeper Camp 1 
June 25-29
Campers experience a behind-the-scenes, hands-on adventure with our education and exhibit animals. Learn about different animals and what it takes to properly care for them.
Keeper Camp 2
July 23-27
Want more? Continue your adventure and discover even more about taking care of animals and enriching the lives of animal ambassadors. Prerequisite: must have attended Keeper Camp 1 or a previous Animal Adventure Camp.

Early Bird Summer Nature Camp registration ends Monday, April 16.  Don’t miss your chance to get a $30 Heard Nature Store gift certificate just by registering for one of the camps.*  By April 16th, fax your complete application** to (972) 548-9119, scan and email it, or submit the application (on Saturday or Sunday) to the museum admissions desk.
