The City of McKinney kicks off the annual Spread the Love peanut butter drive on Monday, Dec. 2. To celebrate th e season of giving, the city is collecting peanut butter donated by employees and residents for the Community Food Pantry Bank in McKinney. Peanut butter jars smaller than 40 oz. can be dropped off at several city facilities from Monday, Dec. 2 through Friday, Dec. 13.

The Community Food Pantry in McKinney was formed 36 years ago. In 2012, it provided 17,630 meals to 692 families, including meals for 930 children.
