Destination College to Help Prospective College Students Spend Their Summer Wisely

Destination College warns prospective college students that the summer break should be a time to boost your college admission prospects.

The Collin College initiative is hosting a free workshop titled “What Should You Be Doing This Summer to Strengthen Your College Applications?” from 6:30-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, at the Living Legends Conference Center, located at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.

Open to parents and students, the workshop will detail how the summer break can be used to boost one’s college application through a job, internship, summer enrichment programs, volunteering and travel.

Marilyn Kaufman, president of College Admission Consultants, Inc. will provide her top 10 list of ways high school students can have a productive summer that not only enhances their college application, but changes their lives.

While the session is free, registration is required. Seating is limited.
