Pilar, the wife of former Dallas Cowboys All-Pro Deion Sanders, must stay 500 feet away from her family home in Prosper, Texas.
That ruling came down Monday in McKinney during the Sanders’ divorce case because of their April 23 fight in the home.
An audio recording was played before the judge in the Collin County Courthouse on Monday of a recent fight in the mansion between husband and wife.
It appears Deion did not know her phone was recording the fight.
The tape didn’t help Pilar either. One child was recorded asking for Pilar to stop and leave the room.
Their friend Deanna Boswell also was using a video camera on her phone when a statue struck Pilar. Deion’s wife said the almost 6-foot tall statue did not reach her head, but she was bruised and had an injured thumb.
Ray Wheless, the state district judge, ruled that her injuries happened when Deion attempted to defend himself.
In addition to the restraining order, Pilar faces a fine on the simple assault charge on April 23.
Family violence charges will not be filed, but their children will be receiving court-ordered counseling.
Next up: A child custody hearing on May 15. On a temporary basis, their 8-year-old daughter is living with Pilar. Their sons, ages 10 and 12, will be living with Deion.
What’s on Deion’s Twitter account: “We live with Hope OR regret. These 2 are direct opposites like Love n Hate. Regret breeds negativity while Hope expresses Love n Peace.TRUTH.” … and “GOD IS SO GOOD! DON’T EVER DOUBT HIM NO MATTER HOW YOUR SITUATION LOOKS. TRUST HIM PLEASE. HE IS SO FAITHFUL.”
