Dancer Strong Academy, a premiere dance school in McKinney, is thrilled to announce that Asia Monet Ray, a dance star from Dance Moms and Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition, will be assisting dancer / choreographer, Amanda Anderson’s Jazz master class on February 1, 2014 at their studio. (It was originally announced for Feb. 2.)
Two classes will be available: one for dancers ages 6 -11 and another for those 12 and older.
Amanda and Asia will be hosting a meet and greet for all dancers between the two classes as well as be taking pictures and answering questions with all the dancers in attendance. Amanda has danced in projects with many artists including Jennifer Hudson, Ciara, Hilary Duff, Ludacris, Tyrese, and Chamillionaire to name a few. She has had the opportunity to perform with Lupe Fiasco in the 2007 MLS Halftime Show on ESPN. Amanda was seen dancing on Fall Out Boy’s previous tour, “Folie a Duex.” She has been featured in countless sets for Carnival Choreographer’s Ball, and was recently seen dancing for the artist, Shangela, from the hit show, “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” She was also a principle dancer for a tribute show to Lady Gaga at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Carla Mullendore, owner of Dancer Strong Academy, is bringing in Amanda and Asia to kick-off the Spring schedule. “This is a great way for people to get to know our studio and take a class from amazingly-talented dancers. I want people to see Dancer
Strong Academy as a place to not just dance but to connect with professional dancers as well.” Dancer Strong Academy will continue to host Master Classes throughout the year. Dance Strong Academy is located at 192 Industrial Blvd #103, McKinney, Texas, and offers a full range of dance instruction, including Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Lyrical Jazz, Acro, Irish and more.
