The Arts Center of North Texas (Arts of Collin County) has engaged Conventions, Sports & Leisure (CSL) Marketing Group based in Plano to assist in developing new sources of corporate revenue. CSL specializes in developing corporate naming rights and sponsorship programs which can supplement the early phases of construction and long-term operating and maintenance costs of the performing arts center and park.
CSL brings extensive experience in sports, tourism and the arts to the project. Their clients have included the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, New York Yankees, University of North Texas, University of Texas at Arlington, Dr. Philips Center, Bok Center, Nationwide Center, City of Plano and many others.
“We are excited about the opportunity to work with The Arts Center of North Texas. We believe this venue has the potential to offer sponsors a great platform to reach North Texas residents. As corporations demonstrate an interest in the project and provide a new source of funding, The Arts Center of North Texas will see a renewed lift in charitable giving,” stated Bill Rhoda, president of CSL Marketing Group.
“CSL provides us a new direction in fundraising by re-evaluating the project’s marketing assets and building long-term corporate relationships. The approach combines marketing along with philanthropy as we continue to build key partnerships between businesses and The Arts Center of North Texas,” states Mike Simpson, executive director. “Corporate support for this important arts park and performing arts hall is critical to finance the gap due to Frisco’s decision to no longer participate in the project,” continued Simpson.
Even though the project adopted a new name, if a major naming rights entity is secured, the name could change again to reflect that partnership. In Dallas, this exact situation occurred just 30 days prior to opening what is now the ATT Performing Arts Center.
