Community Lifeline’s Benefit, Serve with Friends, Gets Community Support

By Angie Bado, TSB Staff

McKinney’s Community Lifeline Center (CLC) is all about service – service to those who live in McKinney and the surrounding area. On Thursday evening, supporters of CLC gathered at the Flour Mill in McKinney for the first “Serve with Friends” benefit.  The purpose of the benefit was to raise funds, as well as awareness, for the many projects that CLC undertakes as the organization, which is made up of many volunteers, works to assist those who are in crisis navigate their way back to self-sufficiency.

Guests used technology to bid on silent auction items and played “Words with Friends”, the game created by local tech gurus at Zynga. Mayor Brian Loughmiller was in attendance, aiding in the effort to raise funds by providing a lunch with the Mayor for the auction.

CLC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located at 503 N. Kentucky St. in McKinney. For more information, click here.
