Do thoughts of the warmer days right around the corner have your mouth watering for crisp salads filled with your favorite mouth-watering veggies? Have you ever dreamed of growing your own fresh ingredients and herbs? If so, here is your chance to do just that.
The month of March marks the first spring planting season for McKinney’s E.S. Doty Community Garden. The garden located near the intersection of Throckmorton and Fenet St. Can be found behind Holy Family School.
This Saturday, March 16, current members and gardeners will host a community garden work day. Even newcomers will have the opportunity to join the fun and get their fingernails dirty while learning more about the community garden and making new friends. Participants will also have the opportunity to sign up, choose plots, and pay for membership. The event starts at 10 a.m. and continues until all maintenance tasks are complete.
