Updated: Collin County Constable Injured During Car Accident in McKinney

Update from Sergeant Lonny Haschel with Texas DPS- 5:51 pm:

McKinney-At 1:51 PM Texas Highway Patrol Troopers were called to a single vehicle crash on Community Avenue near Rockport Drive in McKinney.  A Collin County Precinct 4 Deputy Constable was traveling north on Community Avenue.  For an as yet undetermined reason, the deputy constable’s Ford Taurus left the traveled portion of the roadway and struck a utility pole.  The McKinney Fire Department transported the deputy constable to the Medical Center of McKinney with non life-threatening injuries. There were no other vehicles or persons involved. The crash is currently under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.

A Collin County Constable was involved in a single vehicle accident this afternoon when the car hit a light pole at the intersection of Community Drive and Rockport Drive in McKinney.

Stacie Durham, McKinney Fire Department Public Information Officer, said that one person was transported to Medical Center of McKinney with non-life threatening injuries.
