In conjunction with the 2013 Collin College Book in Common, My Dyslexia, Collin College and The Winston School in Dallas present student art projects on display.
“Dyslexia Experienced” is student art focusing on how it feels to have dyslexia and other learning disabilities You can see photographs, paintings, drawings and mixed media artwork.
It is on display at the Central Park Campus Library, Commons Area, at 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney. Library hours are 7:45 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. through Thursday; and 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
The exhibit will be on display when Pulitzer Prize winner Philip Schultz visits the Collin College campuses to discuss his book “My Dyslexia.” He will be in McKinney on Thursday. For TSB’s previous story on that event please click here.
From paintings, to woodwork and digital art, students expressed what it means to have dyslexia through their projects.
The Winston School is a coeducational college preparatory school for students with learning disabilities and/or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
