Trash-Off is an opportunity for McKinney residents to clean up McKinney by volunteering to pick up litter in right-of-ways and along creeks within the city limits. Civic groups, homeowner associations, faith-based organizations and individuals are encouraged to take part in this community event.

In conjunction with picking up litter, McKinney residents can bring their unwanted items to the ‘Got Junk to Chunk’ event at McKinney Cotton Mill dumpsters from 8 a.m. to noon on May 14. No electronics or household hazardous waste will be accepted at this location. Follow Texas Trash Off signs and call 972-547-7385 for more information.

Texas Trash-Off is the single largest one-day clean up event in the state. It serves as Texas’ signature event for the Great American Cleanup – the nation’s largest community improvement program, held annually from March 1 through May 31.
