An organizational chart for the City of McKinney was revealed as part of the McKinney City Council’s budget retreat on Friday. Of note are the the roles of the deputy city managers, which had not been previously released since new Deputy City Manger Jose Madrigal was hired.
The organizational chart shows that the McKinney Police Department, Fire Department, Public Works Department, Municipal Court and Purchasing Department all report to Madrigal.
Rob Daake, who was McKinney’s lone deputy city manager prior to Madrigal’s hiring, is shown to have responsibility over Development Services, Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces, Communications and Marketing, and Information Technology.
A third deputy city manager positon, which was approved by the city council in May but is currently vacant, is shown to have responsibility over Human Resources, Financial Services, Library, the City Secretary, Main Street, and Grants Administration.
