City Debuts New Tennis Center at Grand Opening Celebration

The City of McKinney held the grand opening celebration of the city’s new tennis complex, The Courts at Gabe Nesbitt Park on Saturday afternoon. Mayor Brian Loughmiller and several member of City Council were joined by members of the Nesbitt family and a crowd of tennis lovers of all ages. 

Mayor Loughmiller served the first official serve on the stadium court and his wife Donna, returned the serve. 

The new complex features a modern 3,500 sq. ft. clubhouse with a wrap-around patio, 11 lit courts including a signature stadium court with a spectator viewing area, and room for special events. The Courts, managed by Lifetime Tennis, will offer year-round leagues, lessons and a retail shop.


The complex is located at 3205 Alma Dr. in McKinney. Hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
