The McKinney City Council will be considering the tax rate, city fees, mosquito control, creating a school zone for the Imagine Charter School, amending construction regulations and building codes, buying a street sweeper truck and financial and planning policies.
In Tuesday night’s executive session, the council will discuss the search to hire a president for the McKinney Economic Development Corporation and more economic development matters.
In the regular session Tuesday, the council will weigh in on an ordinance ratifying the property tax revenue increase in the 2012-13 budget as a result of the City receiving more revenues from property taxes than the previous fiscal year.
Providing school resource officers for McKinney ISD and Frisco ISD schools in McKinney will be on the agenda.
The water and sanitary sewer relocation project State Hwy. 121 to White Ave. is one of the resolutions.
A public hearing will be held on the request by Out of Space Self Storage to rezone 4.5 acres on the west side of Hardin Blvd. about 350 feet north of McKinney Ranch Parkway. City staff recommends approval of the proposed rezoning request with some special ordinance provisions.
The council will also cover the tax rate, budgets for McKinney Convention and Visitors Bureau, McKinney Community Development Corporation, McKinney Housing and Finance Corporation, McKinney Economic Development Corporation, Collin County Regional Airport.
The Animal Services Facilities Advisory Committee meets at noon Tuesday to discuss and elect a chair and vice chair person at the Community Services Conference Room at 314 S. Chestnut Street.
Pastor Rock Carpenter of the Living Hope Church will be giving the invocation at the McKinney City Council meeting today.
