The City of McKinney is seeking public comment on a draft Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan. The draft ADA Transition Plan provides a protocol for addressing accessibility needs for persons with disabilities and sets priorities to improve access to city services, programs and facilities.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, May 30 from 6-8 p.m. in the John & Judy Gay Library, which is an accessible facility located at 6861 W. Eldorado Parkway. The meeting room is adjacent to main lobby.
As the City of McKinney continues to improve accessibility to all of its programs, services and facilities, input from those with disabilities and/or their caregivers/assistants is invited. This meeting provides an opportunity to share with City of McKinney staff the needs and priorities of those covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Accommodations and modifications for people with disabilities are available upon request. Requests should be made as far in advance as possible, but no less than 48 hours prior to the meeting.
In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the City of McKinney will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in the city’s services, programs or activities.
