So what’s happening around town these days, peeps? There is always something to chat about, so here’s what I know (or have heard) for now.
In case you don’t know, the Louisiana Street Grill has been open for a few weeks. A steak and seafood spot on E. Louisiana Street – just east of Hwy. 5, the place features an amazing hand carved bar. Haven’t had a chance to check out the food yet, but can’t wait to try it. Oh, and almost forgot. they have a large paved parking lot just to the east of the restaurant. Anyone out there stopped in at LSG?
In other foodie news, here’s the scoop. I’m told there is a sign for Culver’s at Eldorado and Orchid, next to the Family Video. So….is Culver’s leaving their spot next to McKinney Movies 14 or are they opening another location? I’ll have to do a little more research on this one, but I do know that the frozen custard flavor of the day for Monday is butter pecan.
More food news – Hamm’s Custom Meats, 307 W. Louisiana, is now serving sandwiches Thursday – Saturday. Check out the pulled pork and the chopped brisket. Both are bound to hit the spot if you are in a sandwich mood.
A local nail tech, Shari Gibson, has been called up for celeb duty! Shari, who is an instructor and educator for OPI, a world leader in professional nail care, has been doing the nails of one Khloe Kardashian. Of course, Shari goes to Dallas, but, hey, maybe we could start a Facebook campaign on TSB to get Khloe to come to McKinney! I hear Shari says that Khloe is very sweet. Nice to know.
Shari’s nail salon is “All Polished Up” in the Atrium Salon.
