Chatterbox: The Lowdown Around Town (7/29/30)

One door shuts, another door opens….you know.

Another sad occurrence in downtown McKinney – after nine years of supplying our community with great Mexican food, Karaoke nights, a variety of live music and marvelous margaritas, Aparicio’s, at 216 E. Virginia, has closed its doors forever. Chris Aparicio, thanks for all you have done for McKinney!  You will be missed.

But, Nan Lee Jewelry, now in Adriatica, will be movin’ her bling to a new space in downtown McKinney, on Virginia St., just west of Kentucky.  Indulge – trendy stuff at reasonable prices!

Hear that a new steak place is going in just east of Hwy. 5 (McDonald St.) near the Flour Mill. Parking lot at the Flour Mill being paved will definitely help businesses in that area flourish.

Word in the SB hood is that new ownership of Adriatica means residents should be seeing some construction starting early next year, including the wrapping the the gnarly lookin’ garage. It’s about time!

Speaking of SB, don’t forget the Stonebridge Ladies Association is having a “Girls Night Out” on August 8, 7 p.m. at That Elegant Touch Day Spa.  Reserve your space   You don’t have to live in Stonebridge Ranch to join in the fun.
