Motorcyclists enjoyed a great day of riding and festivities as they raised funds to help keep Frisco Family Services’ Food Pantry stocked at Frisco Family Services’ inaugural Riding 4 Meals Motorcycle Run on Sept. 21. Led by Frisco’s mayor, Maher Maso, 80 bikers and 40 passengers rode 144 miles of North Texas roads.
Presented by the Pat Lobb Auto Group, the ride started and ended at Frisco Resale’s parking lot where participants enjoyed food from 3 Stacks Smoke & Tap House, Rock 101 Grill, Quaker Steak & Lube, and III Dimensional Catering. Riders competed in a friendly competition in bike games, including the “Slowest Rider” and “Ball and Cone”, which required a rider and passenger to ride past cones with tennis balls on top, pick them up, turn around and place the ball back on top of the cone. Participants then enjoyed a Motorcycle Rodeo (eight riders competing in a precision skills course) and a stunt show from Team NLB Stunt Group.
“It was a terrific first event,” Melanie Perkins, Development Director, said. “For everyone to come out and support Frisco Family Services truly meant so much and will help us keep our Food Pantry stocked and our neighbors in Frisco and Frisco ISD fed. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event.”
In addition to the Title Sponsor, Pat Lobb Auto Group, other major sponsors included POParella’s Gourmet Popcorn and Treats, Prosper Bank, Tieperman Health & Wellness, Voyager Insurance Services, Farmer’s Insurance Marilyn Kuhlman Insurance Agency, Manny’s Tex-Mex Grill, and Realty Associates – Debi Tompkins.
