Chamberlain Performing Arts, the premier preprofessional ballet company in North Texas, will hold open auditions for its annual production of The Nutcracker on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Chamberlain’s Plano Studio. Chamberlain’s production of The Nutcracker will take place November 29 through December 1 at the Eisemann Center in Richardson. This year’s production will feature guest artists Tiler Peck and Tyler Angle, principal dancers with New York City Ballet. Following are the audition details for the children’s cast:
WHEN: Saturday, September 7, 2012
• 1st and 2nd graders, 1:00 – 2:30 p.m.
• 3rd and 4th graders, 2:45 – 4:15 p.m.
• 5th and 6th graders, 4:30 – 5:45 p.m.
• 7th graders and older, 6:00 – 7:15 p.m.
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the audition.
Note: All children must be age 6 and in first-grade by the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year to be eligible to audition.
WHERE: Chamberlain Performing Arts’ Studio, 3003, W. 15th Street, Plano, TX 75075
WEAR: Females: Black leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes
Males: White T-shirt, black tights, white socks, ballet shoes
NOTE: Parents must attend one of the mandatory meetings prior to their child’s audition. These meetings will be held at The Courtyard Theater, 1509 H Ave., Plano, TX 75074, on Tuesday, September 3, or Wednesday, September 4, at 7:30 p.m.
