On Monday, October 17th Mayor Brian Loughmiller will proclaim October 17th – 21st as Chamber of Commerce Week in McKinney, Texas kicking off a week long schedule of activities. The McKinney Chamber of Commerce is one of 600 Chambers of Commerce in Texas that will celebrate Chamber of Commerce week and serve as the voice of business in our state. Our Chambers of Commerce have been a driving force in fostering educational opportunities, infrastructure improvements, leadership development, job creation and developing a positive vision for the future.
Members are invited to join the Mayor and Board of Directors for coffee, cider and donuts on Monday at 8:00 am at the Chamber office, 2150 S. Central Expressway for the proclamation and morning networking. Chamber volunteers and staff will deliver thank you gifts to Chamber member businesses throughout the week.
On Wednesday, October 19th the Chamber Board will host the weekly LINKS Networking at Saltgrass Steak House, 2801 Craig Drive, at 7:30 a.m. Businesses are invited to join and learn more about the Chamber. Meet with Chamber board members and staff, and take advantage of this great networking opportunity!
The week will culminate the week with the Chamber’s Annual Member Appreciation Cookout and a live broadcast with Johnny B and KLAK on Friday, October 21st at 11:30 a.m. at the Chamber. The Board of Directors don their chef’s hats and aprons to cook up hot dogs and hamburgers as a “Thank You” to Chamber member businesses. Don’t miss the fun and the chance to spin the “McKinney Chamber Wheel of Fortune” for prizes!
All week the Chamber will be conducting a Membership Drive. Chamber volunteers will be working to assist the Chamber to build the membership base of the chamber and strengthen the voice of business in our community.
