Cavalli Pizzeria Napoletana Features New Lunch and Dinner Menu Items

Cavalli Pizzeria Napoletana, the first restaurant in Texas to receive the coveted Verace Pizza Napoletana certification, is excited to announce their summer menu featuring vibrant, inventive and lightened dishes using fresh, seasonal and organic ingredients that celebrate southern Italian tradition.

First-generation American owners, Paolo and Clara Cavalli have collaborated with Paolo’s father, Giannino Cavalli, to create an array of savory and seasonal new dishes using organic ingredients from local farmers, grass fed meats from local butchers while also importing authentic Italian ingredients. Among the many new Italian tapas, which are sure to become house favorites during dinner are Pasta all’Aragosta, fresh angel hair pasta and New England lobster in a house made vodka sauce, Capesante al Prosecco, fresh sea scallops with grilled asparagus, served in a prosecco and dill cream sauce, and Costoletta alla Milanese, pounded and breaded pork chop, topped with fresh arugula, cherry tomatoes and fresh mozzarella.

A few of Cavalli’s new pizzas, available during lunch and dinner, include the Naples, San Marzano tomato sauce, anchovy filets, oregano and olive oil, Tre Colori, fresh mozzarella, bacon, egg and spinach, topped with tomato tapenade, Il Carnivore, fresh mozzarella, ground beef, sopressata, ham and oregano, and for dessert a Fresh Fruit Cheesecake Pizza. Insalata Noci, one of the new summer salads, has mixed greens, house marinated beets, house brandied walnuts, cherry tomatoes and goat cheese with Cavalli’s house made champagne vinaigrette.

All panini sandwiches, served with a house salad, are hand crafted with Cavalli’s house made pizza dough, made with flour imported directly from the Caputo Mill in Naples, Italy. A few of the new panini sandwiches found on the summer menu include Ham & Brie, served hot with fried pears, Shrimp BLT, served cold with a spicy chipotle aioli, and Sopressata, served cold with goat cheese and house made three olive tapenade.

Along with the new summer menu, comes renovations to Cavalli’s outdoor décor at the McKinney location. Modifications include an expanded patio with a comfortable lounge area, ideal for enjoying live entertainment, refreshing cocktails and delectable, authentic Italian cuisine.
