McKinney Boyd improved its varsity football record to 3-1 this week and 1-0 in District 10-5A by dominating homestanding Garland Lakeview Centennial 58-14 at Garland’s H.B. Johnson Stadium.
Bryan Driskell ran for 276 yards and four touchdowns and he also caught a touhdown pass, proving to be the most dominant player on the field.
Quarterback Curtis Ladd added 214 passing yards and four touchdown passes to four different receievers — Cameron Decell, Colby Vinson, Dylan Dickman and Driskell.
The Broncos led only 21-7 at halftime but pulled away in the final 24 minutes.
Boyd had 583 total yards as winless Lakeview Centennial had a hard time stopping the visitors.
The Broncos host Garland in a huge District 10-5A contest next Friday, Sept. 23, at Ron Poe Stadium.
