Branch and Rath Elected as Newest Members of McKinney City Council

[Saturday] McKinney residents cast their ballots in the run-off election to determine the District 4 and At Large City Council representatives. The District 4 representative was chosen by the voters in the district, and all McKinney voters could vote for the representative in the At Large position.

All results are unofficial and courtesy of the Collin County Election Administrator. Provisional ballots and any overseas ballots will be counted and final results certified June 19. The City Council will canvass the results at their special meeting on June 22.

District 4
According to the unofficial results, Chuck Branch has won the District 4 seat, earning 738 votes, or 52.98 percent of the total. Branch defeated Pablo Ruiz, who earned 655 votes or 47.02 percent of the total.

At Large
According to the unofficial results, Tracy Rath has won the At Large City Council seat, earning 1,676 votes, or 59.88 percent of the total. Rath defeated Bill Campbell, who earned 1,123 votes or 40.12 percent of the total.
