Plano High 68, McKinney High 52: The Lions were eliminated from playoff contention, dropping to 2-7 in District 10-5A. Plano won a key contest in the race for the playoffs, improving to 4-5 and clinching fourth place and a berth. Drew Hammons scored 19 points to lead the Lions and Jontrell Rocquemore added 10. Plano led only 29-23 at halftime but steadily increased its lead in the final 16 minutes. Plano led 49-37 after three quarters. Plano’s Broderick Perkins scored 28 to lead all scorers.
Plano West 84, McKinney Boyd 55: The Broncos’ winless streak for the season continued against the District 10-5A leader. Bryon Harrison and Colton Head each scored 19 points. Marc Collins added 12. West dominated from the beginning, leading 49-26 at halftime. D.J. Hogg led West with 31 points. Boyd fell to 0-9 and West improved to 8-1.
McKinney North 99, Sherman 53: The Bulldogs improved to 13-0 in District 13-4A competition. Julion Pearre led North with 20 points. Taber McFadden added 14 and Collin Curran 12. North’s balanced scoring continued with Michael Caldwell’s 11 and Rishaard Jackson’s 11. North dominated throughout and led 59-31 at halftime and 85-40 afar three. Sherman fell to 2-10
