Boys Basketball Playoffs: McKinney North Beats Mansfield Legacy in Overtime

By TSB Staff

COPPELL —McKinney North’s boys basketball team advanced to the UIL 4A Regional Semifinals on Tuesday night with a 23-21 overtime victory over Mansfield Legacy. The quarterfinal game took place at Coppell High School.

The Bulldogs (23-11) won their third consecutive playoff game under head coach Darryll Craft, and Craft chose to use some methodical tactics down the stretch to preserve the victory.

North’s Collin Curran made two free throws with five seconds remaining in the overtime period to provide the difference in margin for the Bulldogs.

The most astonishing fact of the night? Mansfield Legacy did not score in the fourth quarter or the overtime period.
