Boyd’s Whaley Advances to State High School Golf Tournament

The McKinney boys golf team finished 4th in the Regional 2 Golf Tournament, missing out on third place by only two strikes.

The Regional Medalist was the Broncos’ Vincent Whaley, who shot an even par with rounds of 73 and 71 for a 144. As a result, he qualified for the 5A state tournament in two weeks.

The rest of the Bronco Team was: Harrison Murphy, Trey Cox, Hale Hilsabeck  and Dylan Dobbs.

“I am very proud of the effort this team gave,” Boyd coach Jerry Crumpton said.
