On Wednesday night, McKinney Boyd running back Bryan Driskell announced on Twitter that he had decided to play college football at the Air Force Academy.
Driskell had also received scholarship offers from several schools, including New Mexico and Navy.
The all-state back set several school records while at Boyd, including surpassing 5,000 total rushing yards for his career.
The Falcons of Air Force are a member of the Mountain West Conference in the Football Bowl Subdivision. They have been known through the years for their powerful running scheme and run-oriented offensive attack.
Commitments are non-binding and high school athletes cannot sign with universities until Feb. 6, 2013, which is National Signing Day.
