Boyd Bailadoras Are National Champs

The McKinney Boyd High School Bailadoras competed against some tough competition this past weekend in Galveston at the Showtime nationals competition, and came away National Champions again!

They won 1st place in the Pom, Hip-Hop, and Jazz categories. They also won an applause award for outstanding energy in their Pom routine.

The sophomore trio of Emily Norris, Jane Rha, and Tori Smith won 1st place with their contemporary trio.

The Bailadora soloists also had great success at Nationals! Six out of our 8 soloists placed in the top 7 for their age division. Of those, two were crowned National Champion Solo Winners. Solo Finalists included: freshman Kaitlyn Haning, Juniors Ashlyn Hancock and Maikha Toutche, and Senior Lauren Chase. The two first place, National Champion Solo Winners were: freshman Jacqueline Parson and Sophomore Emily Norris.

Once again, the Bailadoras bring a National title home to Boyd!!
