Blankets for Comfort. Project Linus “Blanketeers” are volunteers who make quilts, blankets, and afghans for seriously ill or traumatized children. In addition to quilters, crocheters, and knitters, volunteers are needed to help cut fabric, write grants, and help with fundraising. If you love to sew, knit or crochet, your skills can provide comfort for children. Look for “If you love to sew, knit, and crochet . . .” under Updated Listings on the VMC web site.

For information on these and other volunteer opportunities, contact Volunteer McKinney Center at 972/542-0679 or by e-mail at or Web Site
