McKinney Main Street teams up with local cycling organization McKinney Velo once again to host the fourth Annual Historic Downtown McKinney Bike the Bricks Criterium race on Friday, May 24.
Bike the Bricks features several interval races, food, spirits, festivities and a purse worth more than $20,000. Warm-up laps begin at 3:30 p.m. and the races kick off at 4 p.m. The event is free and open to spectators. On race day, fans will have the opportunity to enjoy the races in the charming setting of historic downtown McKinney.
“We look forward to welcoming thousands of spectators of all ages to enjoy a free Friday night event in Historic Downtown McKinney. Festivities include up-close seats to high-speed, nail-biting cycling, food and drinks. We are estimating up to 500 cyclists participate in the event with some joining us from across the globe,” said Ty Lake, Main Street Director.
