Big Box Stores Collide and Open Door Wider For Rapid Refill Ink

by Rapid Refill Ink

It was announced recently that the already sizeable retail establishments OfficeMax and Office Depot plan to merge, leaving only two giants in the office supply industry. As we all know, when competition diminishes, prices rise. This marriage is destined to be yet another example where the consumer loses.

That’s the bad news.

The good news is that businesses both large and small will still be able to find a great value at Rapid Refill Ink in McKinney. Rapid Refill Ink continues to be poised to offer the best pricing and service for ink and toner and printer replacement parts.

Locally owned and operated by Trudy and Bill Whitney, Rapid Refill Ink is located in the heart of McKinney. The store has provided great pricing on remanufactured and name-brand products, printer repair service and free delivery to over 400 business customers throughout North Texas, for almost seven years. In addition to the commercial accounts, individuals can come to the retail store and leave with a quality cartridge for their home printers, saving money and time.

“We have fast become a fun place to visit because we focus on the individual customer and his or her needs,” said Trudy Whitney. “We engage everyone and learn their names, record their purchases and consult on printer choices when they are ready to replace an older printer. We are not just order takers for a refilled cartridge, but have a genuine concern for our friends, the customers, to own a printer that is suitable for their use and affordable to operate at home or in a business.”

Not Just Ink & Toner

Another value-added service at Rapid Refill Ink is printer repair and maintenance that is fast, professional and fairly priced, either on-site or in the store.

To ensure shoppers get the most dependable and cost-efficient products, Rapid Refill Ink also has select new and remanufactured printers that have been researched and tested for sale in the store as well as suggestions for products offered in the big box stores.

“We always tell our customers that in the long run, it’s not what you pay for the printer that matters,” said Whitney. “It’s what you pay to replace the ink.”

Whitney readily admits there is still a place for the big box stores when it comes to a variety of office supplies and hardware. At the same time however, she wants customers to understand the values of shopping at independent retailers like Rapid Refill Ink.

“You will never have to press a button on your phone or remain on hold forever for ink and toner when you call Rapid Refill Ink,” said Whitney. “We are proud to have loyal customers from North Dallas to the Oklahoma border who appreciate our efforts. And you don’t need a coupon with a caveat to save money here!”

“Whatever OfficeMax and Office Depot becomes, we welcome the opportunity to work and compete with the new store,” she added.

Trudy and Bill Whitney are the owners of Rapid Refill Ink, an independently owned retail franchise that refills and remanufactures inkjet and laser/toner cartridges for office and home printers. In an effort to encourage recycling, empty cartridges are brought to the store that can be reused many times.  Sustainable and recycled products were utilized in the build out of the shop located in McKinney.  Rapid Refill now also offers Printer Repair and Shredding Services.  For more information call 972.548.9393 or email trudy.whitney@rapidrefillink.net.
